Hello Support,
A client just pointed out that when he went to post a link to his site in LinkedIn, LinkedIn pulled the background image from the LayerSlider WP on the homepage.
Here is a screenshot pointing out the issue:
Facebook pulls in multiple images when posting a link – allowing the enduser to choose an appropriate image for the post. LinkedIn seems to be justpulling the first image to load – which happens to be the background image from the homepage multi-layer slider.
Do you have a solution for this? Has it come up in the past?
Sincerely,
Greg
Hey Greg,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Try to use the following plugins in order to add the appropriate opengraph metadata:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-facebook-open-graph-protocol/

Use this tool to debug the url or page: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Hello Ismael,
Thank you for directing me to the og protocal.
Since those plugins are outdated at the moment, I went ahead and added the meta data into the child theme.
This ticket can be closed – thanks again.
Sincerely,
Greg
