    we had to disable google/recaptcha when making our site GDRP-ready and now look for an alternative way to prevent contact form spamming. any way to do this?

    thanks, but it’s not about comment spam but about mail sent from the contact form. and it needs to be a local solution.. a simple “answer the question” check would be enough, maybe this can even be implemented within the enfold theme contact form?

    Hey,

    Have you tried checking “Append a privacy policy message to template builder contact forms?” in Enfold theme options > Privacy and Cookies tab and check if that helps?

    No, but I think this won’t deter spammers as it is just a checkbox. It needs to be a bit more complicated I fear.. but this I can find myself, I just thought there is something built in. no problem..

    ok, there are quite a lot of plugins that protect the usual contact forms (contact form 7 etc.) but do you see a way to integrate them into the enfold contact form? I don’t really want to use 3rd party forms..
