I’ve had this problem in the past and i just changed the PHP version to 5.2 and it fixed it, however this time this fix does not work.
No items will add to cart
I’m unable to add/remove plugins or make any changes it seems in the admin areaNovember 14, 2015 at 4:46 pm #535898Hi SomeBloke!
Your using Enfold version, 2.8.1. You’ll need to update to the latest version, 3.4.2.
See here for updating via FTP, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/update-theme-files-with-ftp/.
Cheers!
ElliottNovember 15, 2015 at 9:45 pm #536225Heya,
I’m purposely using that version, I haven’t updated WordPress in agesI’m using a plugin which stops all updates to the site
The site was actually working fine up until a couple days ago and had been (since v2.8.1)
For some reason yesterday things just stopped adding to the cart
November 16, 2015 at 6:01 pm #536743Hey!
It would be best to update WordPress. If you continue to use an outdated copy then it will be easier for hackers to compromise your site.
Best regards,
ElliottNovember 16, 2015 at 11:19 pm #536946Okay I manually updated the theme, then wordpress
Then I got stuck in a never-ending loop of ‘update your database’ then click continue and it’d ask me to update again
Good job I had backed up the site.
Any idea how I do this moving forward?
November 18, 2015 at 6:32 pm #538444Hi!
The update is not working? You must be using a very old version of WordPress. Hmm, not sure what we can do here. I would try reinstalling to see what happens but of course make a backup before hand.
Cheers!
ElliottNovember 20, 2015 at 9:04 pm #539921No it’s not :(
The version is 3.9.9, so not too old, but in fairness not the newest!
I tried to reinstall and it’s not taking the update
Wordpress isn’t allownig me to deactivate plugins or save any changes in the admin area either which is strange…
November 20, 2015 at 10:15 pm #539965Hey!
I would try reinstalling WordPress then.
Cheers!
ElliottNovember 25, 2015 at 11:19 pm #542763Hi,
I did already say that I’ve tried updating WordPress, which didn’t work.
Turned out that my database was 3mb over quota which was causing:
1. changes not to be saved
2. plugins unable to deactivate
3. any kinda database query to runNovember 26, 2015 at 7:54 am #542885Hi,
The WordPress loop on update is most likely because it’s extending beyond the timeout limit, could you try contacting your hosting provider to increase it so that the update is allowed to finish?
Thanks,
RikardNovember 30, 2015 at 12:48 am #544240Heya,
Turned out the database was over quota.
Optimizing the database helped reduce my database from 153mb to 119mb – this immediately fixed the problem
