August 12, 2020 at 4:12 pm #1237034Hi rsilvestre,
When you add translations to the .po file, you need to regenerate and upload the .mo file too. Did you do that? You need a plugin like Poedit to be able to do that.
Best regards,
VictoriaAugust 12, 2020 at 9:11 pm #1237159I uploaded via SFTP.
you can see the files uploaded: http://prntscr.com/txdtncin addition to uploading the files to the site, do I need to download a plugin? It was not very clear.

The changes you make in the .po file need to be compiled into the .mo file.

VictoriaAugust 19, 2020 at 3:19 pm #1239197Hello, I would like some other moderator to help me, it seems that Vitoria is not concerned with providing me with details on how to proceed.
First of all, I would like to emphasize that we who buy theme, buy because we don’t know how to create and we don’t know how to change, so it’s important that the moderators answer us in detail.
I need someone who can help me and pass me step by step. I already sent in the conversation that I uploaded the files directly via FTP. The files are already in the theme. I don’t know what else to do and how to do it.
August 22, 2020 at 7:47 pm #1239986Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I have tested the pt_BR language with Enfold & woocommerce and found that the filter text is in the language file at\wp-content\themes\enfold\lang\pt_BR.po
currently, this file by default seems to be missing many translations for this language, above you wrote that you have updated your pt_BR.po file, so I assume you did this with Poedit and then uploaded the .po & .mo files to the correct location.
Please link to your pt_BR.po & pt_BR.mo files via DropBox so I can test them on my localhost to ensure your edits are saved correctly.
Once these files are working correctly you can add them to your child theme so the translations are saved for future updates.Best regards,
MikeAugust 24, 2020 at 3:17 pm #1240377I downloaded the files on this page: https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-language-files/tree/master/lang
and I uploaded the files in the folder: \wp-content\themes\enfold\lang\.I don’t know how to create this lik in the dropbox, but if you teach me to modify the theme, I can translate the filter fields myself. Make a code or give me the location so I can modify it.
August 26, 2020 at 2:16 pm #1240919Hi,
Thank you for the feedback, the files you downloaded were the same as the ones that are included with the theme, so to change the translation you will need to open the pt_BR.po file (your language) with the Poedit software and search for the terms that you wish to change and then save and upload the pt_BR.po & pt_BR.mo files to your site again.
Please see this video starting at 0:36 you will see how to search for a term and add your own translation.
Please try to change a couple of terms and save the file at\wp-content\themes\enfold\lang\pt_BR.po
then check your page.
I would be happy to check your pt_BR.po & pt_BR.mo files after you make a few changes if you find it is not working for you, just upload to somewhere like Google Drive or DropBox or even your site, so I can download and test.
If this is not clear to you then I will make a video for you showing one term being changed, just let me know which term and the translation.Best regards,
MikeAugust 27, 2020 at 6:09 pm #1241285Hi Mike, thank you very much for your help, with your excellent explanation, I managed to translate my topic, you are really the best moderator of the enfold. See: http://prntscr.com/u6ypq6
I translated everything the user can see on the site, in all, 280 words were translated and a total of 6%. See: http://prntscr.com/u6wwz7
Internal things of the theme where only we web designers have access, I did not translate why we understand.
Thank you very much, here is a file for you to download and include in the translation of the topic as it will help many Brazilians: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zohcBmvAUCijd4t9BTUittteuiqfRsvL/
August 28, 2020 at 1:44 pm #1241577Hi,
Glad to hear this helped and thank you for sharing your translations, I will submit this to the dev team to be included in a future update.
I recommend adding your translation to your child theme so the customizations are saved for future updates.Best regards,
Mike -
