I am experimenting with using the Product Grid block in the advanced layout builder. One problem I am having is with the URLs that are generated with the pagination of products:
Page 1: https://mywebsite.com/shop/
Page 2: https://mywebsite.com/shop/?avia-element-paging=2
Page 3: https://mywebsite.com/shop/?avia-element-paging=3
I searched through the forums and I thought this had been fixed? I would like the permalinks to say something more like:
Hey hmsvictory,
Thanks for your question, the Dev Team says avia-element-paging was introduced when paging is needed in an ALB element to avoid a conflict with normal WP pagination.
Which occurs if you use ALB elements (e.g. portfolio) with pagination on e.g. blog page 2 (would result in page 2 for portfolio.
This was added in 2020 and was the solution for the pagination conflict, unfortunately we don’t have a way for users to change this.
Best regards,
Mike
Mike, thanks for the info. Perhaps for the future we could have the option of specifying a different text string for the paging permalinks? Or just something cleaner like ?paging=3
