    Dear Support Team,

    At the moment my homepage is the Shop page from Woocommerce. This shop page displays my product categories (empty and not empty) in a grid with their images (see link in private info).

    Where the green area is that says “Welkom in de Webshop van Rent-Fun” I want to insert an image slider.
    After searching in several support forums I found that it is not (yet?) possible to insert image sliders into the woocommerce shop overview page.

    The solution I would use for this is to create a new page, insert a image slider and then insert the product category grid and set this new page as my homepage.

    HOWEVER . This is my problem. When using the advanced Layout Builder I can insert a Woocommerce “Product Grid” where I can select categories and subcategories but it wil only show the products in these categories and subcategories, not the categories itself like in my homepage right now.

    Is there any way to not show the products, but only the categories with their images like how my homepage is right now?

    Thank you for the help!

    EDIT

    I went to the Woocommerce support forum and there they said that not able to adding a image slider to woocommerce shop page is a theme related thing. They recommended me to use the Woocommerce shortcode on my new homepage, but then it results in this;

    http://www.v2.rent-fun.be/winkel/

    Is there any way to make this page look like my current homepage?

    Kind regards,

    Weblevels

    SOLVED IT MYSELF!

    Woocommerce provides a shortcode for product categories ([product_categories number=”25″ parent=”0″ ), more info in their documentation.

    After using this shortcode remove the tags around the shortcode because otherwise the categories display in a weird way.
