Hi there,
Currently my top menu does show the following menu items: 1. Home 2. Shop 3. Cart 4. Checkout.
I’d now like to add a submenu below the “shop” menu item which displays the product categories.
As far as I understood this is done with a “mega menu”. Therefore I turned on checkbox “use as mega menu”. But what now? I of course can manually add indiviual links for each category. But in case I add or rename a category I would have to update the menu accordingly. Is there an easier way which allows to add the product categories automatically? Could not find a hint in the documentation and therefore hope you can help here…
Thank you!
Hi there,
As a temporary solution I have added each category as individual link in the menu. But I still hope that there is an easier solution to fill a mega menu with shop details.
Thank you!
Hi,
I do not think there is a solution through our theme. It does exist although with 3rd party plugins that can replace this menu functionality.

OK – but thanks for confirming, Basilis!
Hi,
Thanks for the update. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
If the theme cannot solve this you can close the ticket.
Thanks
You can define a custom menu-item. It’s based on an URL from the category-page itself.
For each category you pick up the URL and past it in the custom menu-item field…
@Sepppl – thanks for your reply. That is what we did right now. But I thought there might be a solution which would just use the existing product categories also for the menu so that new categories will be added automatically, deleted cats delete in the menu at the same time and when I just change the name of a category that it will be updated in the menu automatically, too. But thanks for your suggestion ;-)
Hi,
You are welcome!
Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Ticket can be closed – thanks!
