    Hi,

    I am editing the format of a text block on a translated page, but after saving my edits are deleted. I tried several times and in several sections, always the same result. I can edit the main page, the English version, but if I make any edits on the translated pages, they are deleted after saving.

    Also the editing is extremely slow. There is a constant autosave now. Can this be the reason? Can that be turned off?

    We recently uploaded our videos, as opposed to Youtube hosting. Can this also contribute to the site being slow?

    I just tried to edit the German translation of a page. I made the changes and saved it, but the translation appeared to be only 20% complete. So I went back and checked all the boxes “Translation complete”, then it was 100% complete, I hit save and the entire German page was overwritten by the English content.
    What has changed in the last versions or what am I doing wrong?

    Hi Julia

    I know WPML pretty well, but I never use this kind of translation you mentioned.
    The way I translate pages or posts is the manual way and directly on content level itself and not by the “fancy” interface by WPML. So I have the WPML setting “Use WPML’s Classic Translation Editor” active.

    Does that help in any way?

    Thank you Michael. The problem is that when I edit it directly on the translated page, it does not save my changes.

    as I cannot edit my pages and the content is overwritten by the original language, I would not call this a “SMALL” issue. I cannot edit my content and if I try it’s deleted.

    When is the next release? This is urgent!

    Hi Julia,
    WPML fixed the issue on their end and the fix will be available with the next release, however, they did not announce yet when the release is due.
