Hello,
2 days ago I updated to WP 5.5.1. and then I realised that I could only see the first page of the Enfold menu. Therefore I could not update to the latest version. I tried to roll back to a backup, on the server side. The site was completely disfigured. It took me various hours to restore it.
I tried to deactivate some of the plugins. Deactivating WPML seemed to work but obviously now all the content was duplicated. But now I managed to upgrade the Enfold theme and then things were back to normal. I still have not updated again to 5.5.1. It seems there is an error.
Also, when I tried to install a previous back up made with Updraft Plus, I got the message: There has been a critical error on your website.Something seems to be not working, and I am afraid to do the updates now.
Thank you,

Thanks for the login details. Could you copy your site to a staging environment so that we can try updating WordPress there please? The latest version of the theme is working fine with WordPress 5.5.1, so the problems is likely local to your site.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 19, 2020 at 11:36 am #1253903Hi Rikard,
thank you for your reply. I did a rollback and then I was able to update Enfold first and then WordPress. The only problem that is left is that now the backup plugin UpdraftPlus is not working anymore. I get this error message:
Warning: If you can still read these words after the page finishes loading, then there is a JavaScript or jQuery problem in the site.I tried to deactivate the plugins and realised that it does work again if I deactivate the WPML CMS plugin. Obviously I can’t deactivate that plugin. Any idea what might cause this error and how to fix it?
Is there another Update plugin that you can recommend?
Thank you,
YooliaOctober 19, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1253934Hi,
I just realised that I cannot edit anything. If I want to edit the page, the layout builder won’t load. I also tried to change something in the menu, but the action buttons also don’t work.
Please help urgently,
thanks
