Hello,
I raised this problem some time ago now but at the time there were no other reports so you couldn’t take it any further. However, it is becoming increasingly frustrating for me and for clients who are reporting this is occurring on all browsers. Basically it seems that on slower internet connections (mine is 1mb – not overly slow) pages with portfolio grids are very hit and miss when it comes to loading all of the images correctly in the grid. Sometimes the images get chopped off half way by images below, sometimes you can barely see the images below and most of the time you cannot see the pagination because the bottom row of images cover it. Sometimes the bottom row of images even appear on top of the footer. It seems this always happens when the viewer scrolls down the page before the content is fully loaded. I have tried multiple type of configuration including minimal grid configuration (9 in 3 columns) but it still happens. I tried masonry but this was even worse – the footer was almost completely covered. I have tried removing sliders, making the content as minimal as possible and nothing works.
It is more of a problem because the viewer cannot see the pagination – therefore does not know there are other pages within the portfolio.
It has to be a timing issue, as advised, if the viewer does not scroll down and waits for the page to load there are no problems – I can’t tell every viewer to the website to be patient and wait for all the elements to load. If the areas within the portfolio grid were static I am sure it would help but as each entry is loaded the page grows and this seems to be the root of the problem, the other areas are not increasing in size to compensate.
It is getting to the point where I am considering rebuilding using another theme but to be honest that is a couple of months of necessary work.
please take a look at the links below.
Thanks
Andrew
February 11, 2015 at 11:16 am #394205Hey awilson3rd!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Seems to load fine on my end. Have you tried using a cache and minify plugins?

As advised, I think it is probably on slower internet connections so if you are on a fast connection then you probably won’t see it. However, I am on a 1mb connection which technically isn’t that slow. Reloading the page fixes the issue. It has to be something to do with scrolling down the page before all the elements in the portfolio grid have loaded – a problem with the dynamic nature of the grid at a guess.
Thanks
Andrew
February 12, 2015 at 6:22 pm #395214Hi!
I can’t reproduce it on my end either. Can you take some screenshots or a screencast?
Cheers!

February 13, 2015 at 9:48 pm #396023Hey!
You’ve tried looking on the official Google Chrome browser as well? What device is that? Does it happen on other devices?
Best regards,
ElliottFebruary 14, 2015 at 10:07 am #396120As advised above – it is occurring on ‘all‘ browsers, desktop and mobile.
February 16, 2015 at 5:25 pm #396840Hi!
I don’t see it on my end and Ismael mentioned he cannot see it either. Try checking on a different device to see if it happens there as well.

ElliottFebruary 28, 2015 at 10:41 am #403811Ok, I am getting nowhere with this again. As you can see in my last post. I have tried desktop, table and mobile. Others who have noticed it have tried from mobile and laptops.
As advised, I think the issue is related to speed. When a user is on a slower connection and they scroll down the page before it is fully loaded the dynamic nature of the portfolio grid does not work well. It does not resize the elements of the grid/page to compensate for the portfolio image content in the grid.
Thanks
Andrew
March 2, 2015 at 6:15 am #404293Hey Andrew!
I’m on a faster connection than 1mb but I tried scrolling immediately when I open the links provided but I couldn’t see the issue either. On one page it seemed like it was going to do what you described, but within less then a second it “popped” into place again. Would it be possible for you to do a screencast so that we can see the issue for ourselves? It’s difficult for us to help you if we can’t reproduce the error.
Best regards,
