    Hello,

I’m having a chronic problem with plug-ins and I’m so new to Word Press I don’t know if I’m missing something basic or what. I’ve tried a couple of calendar event plug-ins and a Sermon Manager plug in and they don’t appear in my site the same way they appear in the demo sites. Surely I don’t have to do all the styling with shortcodes or custom CSS. Is there a setting I’m missing that would allow their layouts or templates to be recognized? Don’t know if that’s a stupid question or if this is even the right place to ask.

Here’s what the plug in demo for Sermon Manager looks like: https://demo.wpforchurch.com/sermon-manager/sermons/#content
Here’s what the sermon looks like on my site: https://dev.wallerbc.org/index.php/sermons/

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Karen

    Hey Karen,

Thanks for the links, though I’m getting a 404 error on your site. Did you change or remove the page maybe?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Sorry, was doing a lot of work on the site today.

    Here’s an example https://dev.wallerbc.org/index.php/sermons/bow-to-the-king/

I’ve had the same issues with other plug-ins but that’s the one I’m currently trying to use: Sermon Manager for WordPress

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

The plugin’s stylesheets are not loading properly. Have you tried reaching out to the plugin author? We’ll try to help you with this, but we are not familiar with the plugin and we don’t provide support for third party plugins as stated on our support policy. Please keep in touch with the plugin authors.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Thanks for the info, Ismael. I was really looking for a way to get started on resolving the issue and you’ve pointed me in the right direction.

This exact issue is happening with several different plug-ins, though, so I’m still wondering if there is a setting or something in Enfold that’s preventing the style sheets from loading properly? Any thoughts on that?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

Are they loading properly when you switch to a default theme? Please go to the Enfold > Performance panel and check if the file compression settings are enabled. Try to disable the css or stylesheet compression temporarily.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Still loads as in the example with a different theme enabled.
I do have the compression disabled and it’s a not a live site yet.

Are they loading properly when you switch to a default theme?
I switched to a different theme and the problem persisted. They looked the same in the other theme as they do in Enfold. I guess this means it is an issue with the plug in and I should contact them. Though I would think it is an Enfold issue since I’ve seen the same problem with multiple plug-ins.

Please go to the Enfold > Performance panel and check if the file compression settings are enabled. Try to disable the css or stylesheet compression temporarily.
I did check to see that the compression was off. And the problem persisted.

    Hi,

It is more likely an issue with the plugin because it doesn’t work on a default theme. We would like to help you out, but we are not familiar with the plugin and is not included in our scope of support. Please keep in touch with the plugin developer.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
