Hi,
Today I updated to WordPress 4.4.1 and Enfold 3.4.7. I also updated 7 “random” plugins.
I have a child theme and have been working fine since I started 2-3 years ago. I have updated wordpress and enfold regularly since then.Today I am having massive problems with the ALB editor, since the margins and other css seems to be messed up when creating a new page. My old pages look fine, and I can copy the shortcode and setup a new page with the old code just fine. Then I try to edit the copied shortcode and everything goes out of place: Margins disappear and the links I have in my widget-area go blue, etc.
What have I done, what should I do?
Please help.January 9, 2016 at 8:43 am #562367Hey metafora29,
Please send us a temporary admin login so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

I have now tracked the problem down to its origin. By trial and error I have found that the layout problem appears when I use the advanced layerslider. Sometimes I can “cheat” the bug by writing directly in the shortcode section, but as soon as I alter anything though the AlB editos, the layout turns weird.January 10, 2016 at 5:22 am #562589Hi,
Thanks for the login but it doesn’t give me access to the WordPress dashboard, not sure why?

Had you on as participant, not administrator! Fixed now.January 11, 2016 at 4:42 am #562884Hi,
I tried copying your shortcode to a new page but it yields the same results unfortunately. Could you try recreating the page to see if that helps? Pay close attention to any added html markup which might be open as it tends to break the layout:
<strong>Bold text closed properly</strong>
Thanks,
RikardJanuary 11, 2016 at 11:43 am #563046Hi Rikard
I have tried to do as you say, to build a page up from scratch. When I start making the page with the ABL editor it works fine UNTIL I ad the advanced layer slider. Once I introduce the layerslider all the css goes out of place and there are no odd html markups. There is definitely a bug there. And I use the layerslider on ALL pages of my 3 websites.I also wonder why after the upgrade of the theme the default editor has fewer options: Before I had an option of an extra line in the toolbar, the toolbar toggle. With the new update, this is no longer available, a great pity, because now I have to use much more html than before when editing my pages.
I have made tests on with 2 other websites where I also have Enfold installed as a theme (you see, I really looove this theme). Before updating the theme, the problem with the layerslider does not exist. The default editor also offers the toolbar toggle option as always.
Perhaps I should reinstall the previous version of Enfold? It seems to be the root of the problems?
January 12, 2016 at 6:10 am #563692Hi,
I’m not sure what going on there but something might have gone wrong during the update, could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Thanks,
RikardJanuary 12, 2016 at 10:52 am #563796Hi Rikard
I have now reinstalled the theme manually and the issue with the toolbar toggle is now resolved in the default editor. Nevertheless the issue with the advanced layerslider persists: Whenever I place it at the top of a new page the marins and css go out of place.
Is there any way to return to the previous version of the theme? I know it works on my other pages, where I have not updated Enfold.January 12, 2016 at 5:26 pm #564053Hi!
Which version would you like to downgrade to? We can provide you the version if we have it in our repository

I have checked and the version which runs trouble-free is 3.2
Do you have it?
Yours,
JetteJanuary 13, 2016 at 4:58 pm #564812When a newer version of Enfold comes out, perhaps the problems with the layer slider disssapear. Have you had any other inquiries regarding my problem?

January 14, 2016 at 4:23 pm #565498January 14, 2016 at 6:30 pm #565653Hi guys
I don’t know if you got my response just now. For some reason I don’t think it got posted.
I have reeinstalled the version 3.2 of enfold on my page, but the layerslider still gives me the same problem. How very frustrating! I use it extensively on all my pages! What can I do?January 18, 2016 at 4:17 am #566879Hey!
I noticed that you have the avia_include_shortcode_template function in the child theme’s functions.php file. Did you modify any shortcodes in the child theme? I guess you have the old version of the section.php file? The theme should automatically wrap the elements inside a section by default. It doesn’t work this way in your installation.

IsmaelJanuary 18, 2016 at 7:18 am #566959Hi Ismael
I don’t think I did, unless it was very much in the beginning, when creating the child theme (3 years ago). I really don’t know much about php, so if I did, it was probably just something I did “blindly”. Can I simply reset the php code? or replace it with a new set of codes?January 19, 2016 at 6:27 am #567629Hey!
Please post the ftp details here so that we can check the theme files. You can also remove the function in order to disable the shortcode override in the child theme.

Thanks for all the help and attention. I really appreciate it!January 20, 2016 at 6:10 am #568387Hi!
I checked the child theme folder and there are no shortcodes there so I removed the function. I deactivated the plugin and the test page suddenly worked as expected. http://international-workshop.com/test-1/
Please try to activate the plugin one at a time to find the culprit.
UPDATE: The WP-SpamShield causes this issue. Please contact the plugin author.
