Layer Slider: 6.6.1December 13, 2017 at 5:09 pm #888457Hey Sir-Richard-Picture,
If you don’t have the license, you cannot update the Layer Slider.
Which version of php are you running?
Php has to be at least 5.6.3.Best regards,

December 13, 2017 at 7:11 pm #888505Dear Victoria,
thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Just updatet to php 5.6.32. Same issue. Still some problems with the layer slider plugin.
What should I do?
Best regards
ChristianDecember 14, 2017 at 8:09 am #888776Hi,
Are you having any actual problems with the slider? I’m asking since what you posted are warnings, not actual errors. Also, are you only on local host or do you have a live site that we can look at? If you have a live site then please post admin login details in private so that we can access it.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 15, 2017 at 4:20 am #889185I am having this exact same issue. It also shows up for me in the actual Update section of the WordPress dashboard. It indicates that there is a needed update, but all of the plugins that I have installed are up to date… I am VERY INTERESTED in resolving this. Let me know if I can help in any way.
December 16, 2017 at 6:36 pm #889625Hi auco,
Are you having warnings in the log or the notification above plugins menu?
Best regards,
VictoriaDecember 17, 2017 at 1:31 am #889729The warnings show up in the log AND above the plugins menu
December 18, 2017 at 5:26 am #889904Hi auco,
Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

RikardJanuary 5, 2018 at 1:09 am #893502Had the same issue. I ended up purchasing a separate license for LayerSlider, activating it, and then replacing the LS files in /enfold/config-layerslider/
That fixed it. Basically, Enfold needs a new update with Layerslider 6.6.2 or later, which fixes this uncommon issue.
January 5, 2018 at 1:10 am #893504January 5, 2018 at 1:18 am #893507From my point of view I bought Layer Slider as an integral Part of Enfold. So Kriesi is in charge. Kriesi should find a Deal with LS. Otherwise I’m not sure who I should pay on the next update.
Are you agree?January 6, 2018 at 1:57 am #893927Sir,
I see your are using xampp and are getting error messages about layerslider, but I have seen the “failed to open stream” error be a result of other issues, such as a failed install. Since you are on a localhost would you please post a Duplicator copy of your site to dropbox with the login & password so I can investigate further? How LayerSlider Updates work in Enfold
Best regards,
MikeJanuary 6, 2018 at 6:34 pm #894167I have the same problem….
Hope for a solution pretty soon – without purchasing a license for LayerSlider.January 6, 2018 at 7:37 pm #894181Hi,
@DesignIt, Please open a new ticket with more detail about your issue so we can assist.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 10, 2018 at 2:20 am #895477Noticed these errors popping up again after posting the solution above.
Deactivating the “Simple History” plugin fixed it. So it looks like other plugins can cause this error and make it look like Layerslider is affecting some core WP files somehow.
January 10, 2018 at 2:35 am #895479Hi,
Thanks, JB, yes plugins can effect other plugins & themes, we have often seen “layerslider” errors that turned out to be other plugins.Best regards,

Hi, thanks to all. “Simply History” induced the Error with the Layer Slider.
Thank you for your efforts.
Kind regards
