Hi, I built my website roughly 10 months ago and have been using Enfold with zero problems. It has been great.
My WordPress automatically updates, and recently updated itself to version 4.5 and has cause many problems with my website.
Many of the Enfold features (partner logo slider, gallery, maps…etc) do not display any more.
I did not create a child theme when I first built my website because I was already very happy with the features that Enfold offered and did not care much for any new add ons since I didn’t want them.
Right now I read online that updating my Enfold might work, but since I did not create a child theme I read that it might delete a lot of the data.
I wanted to know the best way to get my website up and running again.
Could I just go back to an older version of WordPress?
I’m looking for the easiest and fastest way to get back to how things were before 4.5.
    Thank you,
    Peter

    Hi Peter!

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Sorry for the delay and also refrain from replying to your own thread because it only sends it back in the queue.

The best option I would suggest is to update the theme to version 3.5.2. This update was released to ensure compatibility with WordPress 4.5. As for the Child theme, you only need it if you made changes to the theme’s core files. If not, updating does not erase your data but you should still make a back up of your site. http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,
    Jordan
