Hi
1: I load a demo
2: i do some minor edits in the settingsHow do i get back to the original settings of the demo-import?
The demos do not belong to any predefined colorscheme – so how can i reset it to the state it was after i imported it?
Pressing “Reset” is definitely not the right way since its reset to something completly different what also has none predefined colorscheme.
This is weird, confusing and not the best usability solution i met.Maren
October 6, 2018 at 5:10 pm #1018528Hey Maskenzauber,
Sorry for the late reply, some of the demos use a custom color scheme, rather than the color schemes built in, to demonstrate that you can mix and match all of the options to create completely unique designs. There is not a reset for the demo to be back to the “first load” state. Typically one would install a demo for ideas and then start making changes to customize it for themselves.
If you would like to start over, then please install the plugin “wp-reset” and re-set your whole site and install the demo again.
If you have your site “mostly” the way you like it and don’t want to lose your settings if you change something and can’t set it back, then go to Enfold Theme Options > Import/Export > Export Theme Settings File and save it to your computer.
Uploading this file again later will bring the colors and css settings back to the state it is.
It will not change text, elements and images, just the theme settings.
Let us know if this helps explain a little better.Best regards,
MikeOctober 8, 2018 at 3:10 pm #1018995Hi Mike
ok – the “theme settings file solution” is what i expected.
BUT — i already got some experience with importing a theme settings file (when migrating from sandbox to live or similars) and can say that it does not work 100% correct.
I dont remember what exactly gets lost but in fact there are some things missing after importing.
And (if i remember well) specially the color scheme.
MarenOctober 8, 2018 at 3:49 pm #1019017So – here is the proof.
– I imported “Lawyer Demo”
– I exported the theme settings file
– I did some changes
– I imported the theme settings fileResult: quite far away from the original (font color / boxes and more are wrong)

maskenzauber.com/temp/import2.jpgThis definitely is not a base you can rely or work on
marenOctober 9, 2018 at 3:05 am #1019293Hi,
I tried to recreate this issue on my localhost, I installed the Law Demo and then when to Import / Export and saved the theme settings file, then I went to General Styling and choose a predefined color scheme “Elegant Red” which gave me this on the homepage:
Then I went to Enfold Theme Options and used the “reset all options” button at the bottom, which removed the demo styling:
Then I used the Import Theme Settings File to upload the theme settings file, and saved the theme settings one more time to rebuild the merged files, and the demo was restored after clearing my browser cache:
I did this twice so I could get the screenshots, and on my second attempt the “Save all changes” button in the theme options panel was not activated, so I added a blank space in the Quick CSS field to activate the “Save all changes” button, and then clicked it, and cleared my browser cache.
Please try these steps.Best regards,
MikeOctober 9, 2018 at 1:47 pm #1019494“and saved the theme settings one more ”
If this is the point, Kriesi should overhaul it since after importing the settings file the theme “says”: “Alright, sparky, ………”
This, for sure, does not make one think you need to save a second time.Despite that: The trick with the empty space in Quick CSS is a very special “Insider KnowHow”
Ok – but it seems to do the job.
Thanks for helping
