I’m having trouble setting up an embedded Google Map on a website I am developing. I think I have the API key created correctly (see the screenshot linked in the private info). So think based on what I have read at https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/google-map/#validate-key it looks like billing needs to be enabled. If that is the case, I am having a hard time confirming what that means or what I need to do. I realize this is a Google related issue, but I was wondering if someone is more familiar with what needs to be done and can explain it to me. the information from Google isn’t very clear. Thanks.
Hey NicomIT,
I’m not 100% sure how to do it either, but maybe this will help you out? https://cloud.google.com/billing/docs/how-to/payment-methods

Thanks Rikard. So am I correct in understanding is that if you are using an API from Google for something like an emdedded map and the requests of that exceed a certain amount, that you would need to pay Google? And that is why billing need to be enabled?
Hi NicomIT,
Yes, that is correct, when the free quota is exceeded Google will charge your card for more usage.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
