Problems uploading images after WP4.5 even after following steps in your post. I followed https://kriesi.at/support/topic/having-problems-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/ except for this step: “If clearing your cache did not work then you could try to add the following code to the bottom of the themes functions.php file” because I deactivated all plugins. So there can’t be any plugin conflicts right? There were only 2 plugins active: BB Press and WP Super Cache. Images larger than 2.7MB failed on Mac. Any images (inconsistently) fail on PC Chrome and Explorer. Images are uploaded one at a time.
June 21, 2016 at 5:55 pm #651607Hey m!
It seems that it can be an issue with your hosting provider and the available space.
Can you please do check that, and if you have enough space, we will do check for the rest. Thanks a lot
Cheers!
BasilisJune 21, 2016 at 5:57 pm #651609Thanks. The hosting provider shows 1400MB of available disk space.
June 23, 2016 at 5:39 am #652473Hi,
Could you please provide a link to an image that fails to upload? We tried to upload an image and we didn’t encounter any error:

June 27, 2016 at 8:32 am #653699Hi,
Thanks for that, I uploaded the first image without any problems. See URL in private.
Best regards,
RikardJune 27, 2016 at 7:56 pm #653941Thanks. Well, we can’t. –> Images larger than 2.7MB failed on Mac. Any images (inconsistently) fail on PC Chrome and Explorer. Please test on PC Chrome as that it was is usually used to make website updates. Also test with images larger than 2.7MB. This problem has only occurred after the latest Enfold update and there are no other plugins to interfere. What else can it be? What else can we investigate?
June 27, 2016 at 10:20 pm #653983Did the most recent WordPress or Enfold upgrade affect php upload memory_limit? I raised it from 256 to 512M limit, but I still can’t upload images with consistency.
June 29, 2016 at 10:40 am #654710Hi,
Try changing the file ending to small letters (.jpg) and give them unique names, some servers have problems with that.
Thanks,
RikardJune 29, 2016 at 2:07 pm #654832Thanks. Changing the file name and ending on one file seemed to help. I tested once with one file and it uploaded. However, I tested with a larger file which already had lower case file ending, changing the file name, and it still failed.
July 1, 2016 at 5:17 am #655502Hi,
Ok, could you post that file as well so that we can have a go from our end? I would try contacting your hosting provider about this, they should be able to give more exact answers to what is going wrong since they have access to error logs etc. for their servers.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 8, 2016 at 2:31 am #658251Thanks, the hosting provider just completed a thorough investigation and cannot resolve the issue. They looked at all the error logs and every possibility from their end.
See my June 23 note for the image you can test with.
July 8, 2016 at 6:17 pm #658533Hi,
Ok, I’m not sure there’s any thing else we can do except try from our end to be honest. The functionality in question is default WordPress functionality and not theme specific. If there’s nothing on your servers which is causing the problem there must be something wrong with WordPress, you could try to reinstall it. I doubt it though since I had no problems uploading the image you provided but it might be worth a shot. You could try reinstalling WordPress under Dashboard–>Updates.
Thanks,
RikardJuly 8, 2016 at 9:13 pm #658601The same thing is happening on other websites using the Enfold theme. Today, on a different website, I couldn’t even upload a 300KB image. :(
July 9, 2016 at 2:50 pm #658800Hi,
Ok, are you hosting both of them with the same company? Not sure if you have tried it or not but it could be a good idea to test from a different browser/machine to make sure that the problem is not with something in your local environment.
Regards,
RikardJuly 12, 2016 at 5:27 pm #659990Yes, both are on same server. Yes, tested on various computers and browsers – still problems.
July 15, 2016 at 3:58 am #661116Hi,
We get this error when we try to upload the “test” image.
load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,plupload,plupload-handlers&ver=4.5.3:40 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘replace’ of null
Please try to increase the php directive max_execution_time value to 300. The current value is 30.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 15, 2016 at 4:35 am #661126Thank you! Is this a hosting company issue or something the programmer can fix in the htt access file?
July 15, 2016 at 2:44 pm #661309Hi,
I think that is something you will have to ask the hosting provider to change.
Regards,
RikardJuly 18, 2016 at 2:05 am #661833Ok thank you.
