Hi
I am unable to upload the enfold demo 2017.
It keeps coming with a ‘failed to import media’ error message.
I have tried a number of time and also deleted and reinstalled wordpress.
July 3, 2018 at 12:52 pm #980530Hey onedesignprint,
Sorry for the problem. Could you try to install it manually maybe? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/initial-theme-setup/#manual-demo-import–xml-file-import-
If that doesn’t work then it’s likely that the max_execution time on your server needs a higher value in order for the demo import to finish.
Best regards,

odpJuly 5, 2018 at 8:27 am #981458Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. What you do you mean by not being able to download the file? The xml files are available in the theme folder, please check here: wp-content > themes > enfold > includes > admin > demo_files

You should be running at least php5.6.3 for the code to work properly. Please consider upgrading your php version.

VictoriaJuly 9, 2018 at 12:15 pm #983055Hi Victoria
I have changed to php7, as thats the next option my hosting provider offers.
I have tried again, and still have the same error message.
Thanks
RajJuly 9, 2018 at 1:27 pm #983090Hi,
I have included a link to a zip file with the images for the 2017 demo in the Private Content area, please ensure to extract and upload the “uploads.zip” via ftp so they will be in the correct folders in your /wp-content/uploads/ folder.
such as /wp-content/uploads/2017/ etc.
I have also included a custom “enfold-2017.xml”, because you will need to reset your site a re-import the demo for the images to be included in the database.
The “enfold-2017.xml” has been adjusted so it will import the images from your /uploads/ folder instead of trying to get them from our url. After the import you can import the theme settings file if you find any css not quiet right, you may need to ensure the correct menu is selected in WordPress > Menus.
If you need to, you can also use the layerslider export within layerslider to import the slides.
If this doesn’t help, please include a FTP login in the private content area so we can assist.Best regards,

July 10, 2018 at 2:26 am #983458Hi,
The errors were only because you didn’t have woocommerce installed. Please clear your browser cache and check now, the demo is installed and ready for you to start using.Best regards,
MikeJuly 10, 2018 at 11:20 am #983573Hi Mike
Thats great everything is working fine now.
Just for future reference, would a manual install of woo commerce do the job?
As I thought woo commerce would be installed automatically when uploaded the enfold theme.
Thanks
July 10, 2018 at 1:33 pm #983665Hi,
You would need to install woocommerce first, the demo doesn’t install it.
When you use the theme’s demo installer it tells you to install woocommerce first, but as we were manually installing, I forgot to tell you.
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?Best regards,
