    Hello,

    I came from this:

    System does not show theme update

    – Updated the theme from 4.7.6.4 to 5.7 (just on staging site)
    – Updated WordPress to 6.5.2 (on both sites)
    – I also made a stage site

    But now a few problems have occurred.

    1. On almost every page (frontend) i have text displayed “array” -> see picture 1
    2. I updated the theme just on stage site. Now my prefooter is gone -> see picture 2, picture 3 is the original state.
    I do still have content in widgets footer columns.
    3. My forms got deformed -> see picture 4
    4. On some buttons and form links (i agree with terms and conditions links) i got additional line (so now they are two) -> see picture 5 (more in private).

    Also in private i have shared access to both live and stage site.

    Can you please take a look at these problems?

    Hey Kauch_01,

    Thanks for the login details. Please try to stick to one problem per thread in the future, let’s pick your problems off one by one in this thread.

    1. That looks to be generated by shortcode which I’m guessing is from a plugin? Does the shortcode work if you activate one of the default WordPress themes?

    Hello,

    Since these problems are all related to the update i thought i should put them in one topic for better overview.

    1. On my stage site i have deactivated all the plugins except WPML (since deactivating it displays a blank page for some reason).
    The problem remains the same.
    I used inspect tool and it says it’s a avia text block – the array message is not just on the home page where i have the shortcode inputed.
    If i activate default wordpress theme (twenty twetny four) i don’t see the array text (tho site is broken at this point – the builder doesn’t work).

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. What happens if you activate the parent theme? Are we allowed to deactivate plugin and themes for testing purposes?

    Hello,

    You can do whatever you want on the stage site (in private) – after everything is fixed and fixes moved to the main page, the stage is going to be deleted.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. If the parent theme is active, the shortcodes are in plain text instead. Are the shortcodes generated from your child?
