I can not get SEO Yoast to work with Enfold. The pages will not open for editing when SEO Yoast is turned on. Should I just await updates – or can I do something?
February 27, 2018 at 10:24 pm #918678Hey privatPersonskadeerstatning,
Please take a look here
https://github.com/Basbee/wordpress-extended-content-analysis-yoastand let us know if that would work out for you.

BasilisFebruary 27, 2018 at 11:10 pm #918707I think that’s a different issue… if the pages won’t open at all for editing with Yoast turned on, he has a plugin or PHP version issue or something…
Yoast and Enfold are 100% compatible, however there are certain analysis functions around the content in the ALB that don’t work with Yoast. For example it will report you haven’t used your keyword in the first paragraph of copy when it is in fact in the first paragraph. I ignore that and just make sure the keyword is there.February 28, 2018 at 8:38 pm #919258Hi,
Thank you very much for that analysis!
We much appreciateBest regards,
BasilisJuly 22, 2018 at 1:00 am #988255I just purchased the Yoast plugin and there are other issues that do not work with Enfold. Mainly, for me, Yoast does not work with Enfold’s Avia Layout builder. So many of the analysis functions do not display at all. That’s a big thing… at least to me. I will be evaluating other plugins to see if any work with Enfold’s layout builder. If so, I will probably return yoast for a refund (within 30 days) and get that plug in.
The Enfold team should know what seo plugins work with the Avia builder (or not), and be able to report that information to us loyal customers without bias or recommendation, no? I for one would like that information. :)

July 22, 2018 at 7:16 am #988288Hi Robert,
Most layout builder like the one in Enfold uses shortcode to display content, and SEO plugin like Yoast don’t read shortcode, they read plain text. That is why the red/yellow/green functions in Yoast won’t work. That won’t affect your actual SEO results though.

RikardJanuary 22, 2019 at 11:21 pm #1057483Hello,
I’d like to re-open the thread. Unfortunately there is another Yoast feature which does not works with Enfold. It’s related content box in page/post editing section. It doesn’t work even in classic editor. :(
Today I’ve asked Yoast support (I’m also premium user) about the issue. They mentioned that Enfold developer should implement some code in all the modules for Yoast to scan. Here is my question: https://snag.gy/g5A0zQ.jpg and reply:The issue is the pagebuilder. Yoast is not compatible with every pagebuilder plugin like Enfold. If the plugin has added the right code for Yoast to hook into, Yoast is expected to then scan those modules. We are not familiar with that plugin so we are not sure if they have added the right code. We suggest contacting the plugin’s authors and asking them if they have included the right code in all the modules for Yoast to scan. This guide explains more and includes links to the code they need to have: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder/.
Is it complicated to implement this code?
Enfold is very popular theme, same as Yoast plugin. Could you please do your best to let it work together using all the great capabilities of these tools? I’m sure you can do it! Pls let us know.Best!
ChrisJanuary 26, 2019 at 12:34 am #1058960Hi,
Thank you for the feedback – you are right. We will do work on that feedback to see how we can fix that issue.
Everything was working as should previously – seems the problem is poping out with the Guten Integration.Best regards,
BasilisJanuary 26, 2019 at 2:05 pm #1059131Hi,
thanks for replay and your declaration.
I’m not sure it’s about Guten integration. I’m usieg classic editor.
Best!

Yes – I do mean that after that upgrade ;-)

BasilisFebruary 21, 2019 at 8:19 pm #1070088Just giving this a bump to hear if anything is being done about it? I think it’s a shame that the most used plugin doesn’t play well with Enfold. I realise it’s not really Kriesi’s responsibility that it works, but it would mean so much for a lot of users.
February 25, 2019 at 11:55 pm #1071546Agree…
February 27, 2019 at 12:04 am #1072038Hi,
There is an update that we are working and we will have it been released soon, which is related to those issues.

BasilisMay 2, 2019 at 9:58 pm #1096585Hello,
I also would like to give my vote for an update providing full Yoast compatibility :)

NeverlandsMay 29, 2019 at 6:30 am #1105066I need it also. SEO is important and I can’t use it with the enfold Editor! :(
June 13, 2019 at 7:36 pm #1110018Yes please! This would make things much better for us and our clients.
June 16, 2019 at 3:08 am #1110740Hi,
When are you going to fix it?
It’s a big problem for the theme.

Yes, it is something we are working on.

BasilisJune 27, 2019 at 12:40 am #1113734Full compatibility with Yoast = UPVOTE! Anxiously awaiting this update. Thank you!
June 27, 2019 at 2:30 am #1113743I’m not going to recommend this theme until this feature would be designed… I think it must be complicated and they don’t want to develop it because we are many users who are waiting for this improvement :(
July 2, 2019 at 3:25 am #1114999Hi,
Sorry for the confusion.
The analysis actually works fine with the builder, but please note that there are certain limitations to it such as the supported language, so it’s possible that some of your keywords or content are not being detected properly because the language that you’re using is not supported. A list of the supported languages can be found in the following link.
// https://github.com/Yoast/javascript/tree/master/packages/yoastseo#supported-languages
This is a screenshot of a test page showing the results of the SEO Analysis tool.
// https://imgur.com/a/OfIPsVS
As you can see the analysis properly detected the outbound/inbound links and the related keyphrase (“Apple is a healthy snack for kids.”) in the builder’s text blocks.

IsmaelJuly 15, 2019 at 10:01 am #1118717ENFOLD says: You are running the latest version! (4.5.7), WordPress and Yoast as well on current version. Same problem as described above a year ago.
We are using the AVIA editor to build our pages.- Yoast does not see the keyphrase if it is brought onto the page with a shortcode.
- Yoast does not see an outbound link if it is inside a button row element
- Yoast does not see the inbound links that are on the page as a masonry of portfolio entries
- Yoast flags problem areas on the page and has a feature to highlight the problems with “eye” icon. It does not work.
- Yoast says the paragraph has more than 300 words without a sub header, because it does not see the page structure
- … I am sure thorough testing will reveal more issues
Is there any plan at Kriesi to make the two dance better together? Will it be after the next update? Does Kriesi recommend a different plugin for SEO work?
July 17, 2019 at 8:42 am #1119454Hi,
@milano24ore: Thank you for the info. As we’ve said earlier, there are certain limitations to how the analysis detects content in the builder. Unfortunately, there is no plan on making the builder fully compatible with the analysis tool, at least not as of this moment.Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 17, 2019 at 1:09 pm #1119568Why not when many users are requesting it? It’s something urgent. I’m not recommending this theme due to this, and even I’m thinking to change to divi… Please, reconsider develop this function.
July 18, 2019 at 8:40 am #1119840Hi,
Sorry you feel that way. I’m sure you’ll be able to structure pages that are fully optimized for search engines without the analysis as long as you’re familiar with SEO basics such as inbound/outbound links, keywords, image alt attributes etc. The analysis just makes it easier to know the stuff that exists and those that are missing or needs improvements. And Yoast is kind enough to add links to tutorials and documentations that will help you get rid of the SEO “problems”. For example, if the analysis tells you that there are no inbound/outbound links, you’ll see this.
Outbound links: No outbound links appear in this page. Add some!
The “Outbound links” and “Add some!” are actually links to the documentation and tutorial. We will probably add this in the future but it’s not a priority right now.

IsmaelAugust 16, 2019 at 10:49 am #1128225I am also upvoting this as an important new feature

Thank for you the update.
I disagree with the idea that these tools are useless for those who understand SEO.
No one said that the tool is useless and we explicitly stated that the builder is not fully compatible with the plugin. And we also admitted earlier that as of this moment, there are no plans on making the builder fully compatible with the analysis tool.

However, this doesn’t mean that by using the Advance Layout Builder you won’t be able to structure pages that are fully readable by or optimized for search engines. You can, but unfortunately, without the help of the analysis tool.

IsmaelAugust 23, 2019 at 4:02 pm #1130394Hi guys,
What about the GitHub repo mentioned by Basilis above?
https://github.com/Basbee/wordpress-extended-content-analysis-yoastThe last commit was Feb 2016, so I am wondering if using this is safe and/or works.
Does anyone have experience using it?
Thanks!
