Hey,
I activated W3 Total Cache yesterday. Unfortunately new quick CSS doesn’t get applied to the site when W3 Total Cache is active. (if I deactivate it everything works) Old CSS only added by quick CSS works even while the plugin is active.
Is there a way to make quick CSS work together with the plugin?
Thank you very much,
Julian
September 29, 2014 at 1:31 pm #326508Hey aIVIis!
Please disable CSS minifying feature before applying custom CSS.
Cheers!
YigitSeptember 29, 2014 at 1:51 pm #326523I have disabled it. What else could it be?
September 29, 2014 at 1:56 pm #326525Ok I found the problem. It’s the CDN. Is there a way to make CDN work with quick CSS?
September 29, 2014 at 2:03 pm #326528Hey!
You can try adding the code to Custom.css file in Enfold/css folder and check if that helps
Regards,
YigitSeptember 29, 2014 at 2:07 pm #326533That’s another issue I have. I use a child theme and I tried to add the CSS to the style.css in the child theme folder. But it doesn’t work. Any ideas on how I could solve that problem?
thx for the quick response by the way :)
September 29, 2014 at 2:16 pm #326546Hey!
Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can look into it?
Cheers!
YigitSeptember 29, 2014 at 2:25 pm #326556This reply has been marked as private.September 29, 2014 at 2:43 pm #326570CDN is disabled right now I think
September 29, 2014 at 3:06 pm #326581Hey!
Please try purging Style.css file of your child theme after making changes, later. It currently gives an error on my end.
P.S.: Great website!Regards,
YigitSeptember 29, 2014 at 3:16 pm #326595Thx! :)
What do you mean by purging the Style.css?
September 29, 2014 at 3:22 pm #326600Hey!
Please go to W3 Total Cache > CDN and you will see Purge button :)
Best regards,
YigitSeptember 29, 2014 at 3:32 pm #326608Ok I purged it but it still doesn’t work.
For example:
.home_img_headline {
text-align: left;
font-size: 72px!important;
text-transform: uppercase!important;
}Is there another solution to fix this?
September 29, 2014 at 3:33 pm #326609Yesterday I deleted a .ds_store file from my child theme folder. Could that cause any issues?
September 30, 2014 at 5:33 am #326991Hey!
No, i don’t think that causes any issues. I checked your website and the .home_img_headline element is actually being affected by the code in style.css – http://screencast.com/t/ne2b2VIDeNgg
Best regards,
JosueSeptember 30, 2014 at 10:07 am #327094Yeah I see it now. The strange thing is that it seems to take some time for it to work. I updated the .home_img_headline element yesterday afternoon but nothing happened. When I checked back a couple of hours later it worked! Same story with the .home_img_subheadline element.
I also changed colors in the General Styling menu yesterday but nothing changed.
Any ideas?
best regards,
Julian
September 30, 2014 at 11:01 am #327103When I turn CDN off the color changes work. When I turn it back on they are gone.
September 30, 2014 at 3:51 pm #327338Hey!
Well, that’s an issue with your specific set-up, i’d suggest turning off that while you are doing adjustments to the site.
Cheers!
JosueSeptember 30, 2014 at 5:28 pm #327457But that doesn’t help because when I turn it back on all changes are gone! Do you think a developer can fix this or could a change to W3 Super Cache help?
September 30, 2014 at 6:27 pm #327489Yeah that would be better, you can contact someone here, purging the CDN in W3 Cache panel should actually work though.
Regards,
JosueSeptember 30, 2014 at 6:34 pm #327499Ok thanks!
