Hello everyone.
We’re using your “Lifestyle Blog Demo” (https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-lifestyle-blog/) for a project.
When creating or editing a post, if I need to use the Advanced Layout Editor, the final result changes completely:
– the photo isn’t displayed
– the title has completely different formatting
– the author, date, and category disappear
All this happens even if no changes are made.
When I return to the default editor and save, the post returns to normal.
And in any case, the editor isn’t the same as the one shown in the first image.
What could be the cause?

That is by design, you need to add all content manually to your posts while using the Layout Builder.

I create a new post with the Advanced Layout Editor.
I add the title, some text, the featured image, and save. The preview looks like this:
“You need to add all content manually to your posts while using the Layout Builder.” I’ve added the content, or is there something wrong with what I did?
If I reopen the post, click “Default Editor,” and save, the preview looks like this:
It’s the final result that changes.

Yes that is correct. So if you want the image and meta data to show when you are using the Layout Builder, then you would have to add them using elements from the Layout Builder.

Thanks for your time.
My English is probably terrible and I can’t explain myself.
I create a new post with the Advanced Layout Editor.
I add the title, some text, the featured image, and save.
The preview looks like this, without image, author, date, etc.:
If I do the same thing with the normal editor, the preview looks like this:
Do you mean I have to insert, for example, the author and date using elements from the Layout Builder?
Shouldn’t it get this data automatically and regardless of the editor used?
And I don’t understand why if I create the post with the Advanced Layout Editor (without entering the author and date) and then change the editor the result is correct.August 16, 2025 at 10:36 am #1488130Hi,
Do you mean I have to insert, for example, the author and date using elements from the Layout Builder?
Yes, exactly. If you want the default elements to appear automatically in your posts, then use the default WordPress editor. If you want full control of the content in your posts, then use the Layout Builder.

Thanks for your reply.
I’m a bit surprised by this response.
I thought the list display depended on the layout CSS and not the editor used.
In any case, if there’s no alternative, I’ll have to rethink the posts already posted.August 16, 2025 at 4:26 pm #1488140Hi Rikard.
Following your instructions, I found the tools to use the Advanced Editor to create posts similar to the basic ones provided with the demo.
However, I can’t find the one needed to get a list of suggested articles in the same category (you might be interested in…).Could you please tell me where to find it?
August 18, 2025 at 3:47 pm #1488184Hi,
That is something the Layout Builder is missing unfortunately, but you can achieve the same thing if you use the Blog Posts element for example.

I had considered using Blog Posts, but this requires you to specify the post’s category each time you create it.
Currently, this is done automatically for posts added to the demo (therefore, without Advanced Layout).August 19, 2025 at 6:43 pm #1488260 -
