    Hi
    I am just new here, and already mediservices.nl looks nice.
    However, I want to change my permalinks to …..%postname%
    When that is done, the site only gives 404 errors; the homepage is the only one that works.
    I cannot change .htaccess to 755, that is not permitted.
    Please advise.

    I solved this.
    It appears that my hosting company (hostnet.nl) offers a special feature in the control panel for syncing the .htaccess file.
    After the change in permalink in WordPress, do the sync in the control panel, and after the sync (refresh page manually), all is fine.
