Problem with One Page anchor links

Hey

Im creating a one page website using the anchor link function (I just wrote #sectionid in the URL fields of the menu items). That actually works fine, but when I click on my “more about me” button (I don’t want to have too much text on the “normal” page), the menu doesn’t work any more. when I click on a menu link the URL is like …/aboutme/#home and this doesn’t work. Is there a way to fix this e.g. telling the menu to “delete” the /aboutme? Because the anchor links only work if the #whatever comes directly after the normal URL without any /pages/ between it.
