Hi!
The drag and drop function for the menu items is not working correctly. When I try and drag one item a number of items are picked up. So it is currently impossible to move just one menu item and we need all our menu items in specific places so we cannot make the necessary updates to our website at the moment.
We have the latest version of the theme and wordpress.
Grateful for any assistance.

Thank you for the info.
We cannot reproduce the same issue on our installation, so it is possible that this unwanted behavior is cause by a plugin or a third party script. Is there a development version of the site? Please try to disable the plugins temporarily, then check the menu editor again.

Thanks for your reply!
I have just deactivated all our plugins and the problem still persists. I.e. in the menu editor, when I try to drag one item, a number of items from the menu get picked up at the same time.
We don’t have a development version of the site at the moment unfortunately.
I have looked through the forums and the other solutions for this issue are not helping us.
I just renewed support for a whole year to get help with this specific problem, so if you guys have any more ideas how we can fix this, I’d love to hear from you!
January 14, 2021 at 6:46 pm #1272512Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Is it OK for us to disable the plugins while checking the site? Another thing that could help is by setting jQuery to the legacy or the old version. Please install the following plugin, then set the jQuery version accordingly.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

IsmaelJanuary 18, 2021 at 12:36 am #1273177Hi Ismael,
Thanks very much for your reply.
Yes, it is fine if you disable the plugins while checking the site.
I have installed the plugin you mention, but I cannot figure out where I can access jQuery to set it to the legacy version.
Grateful if you could have another look.
January 18, 2021 at 5:26 am #1273216Hi,
Thank you for following up.
We set jQuery to the legacy version in the Tools > jQuery Migrate panel and it seems to have fixed the drag and drop issue in the Appearance > Menus panel. Please purge the cache or do a hard refresh before testing the menu again.

IsmaelJanuary 18, 2021 at 11:27 pm #1273498Hi Isamel,
That has solved the issue for the time being. Thanks very much for your help.
However, this seems to be a bit of temporary solution / workaround, and that we might get into difficulties again unless we start using a newer version of jQuery. Is this correct?
If so, do you know when we might be able to upgrade to a newer version of jQuery that doesn’t cause issues in other areas of the site?
January 19, 2021 at 7:09 am #1273574Hi Tarakbc,
Yes, it’s a temporary solution and a permanent solution will be made available once a newer version of Enfold is released (most likely towards the end of the month).
