    Hi Enfold-forum,

I’m struggling with the installation of the Enfold theme with Demo 2017. I first tried it myself by uploading the zip-file, but got an error message (link expired). Afther this, I uploaded the zip-file to the control panel of the site and extracted the file. This resulted in a fatal error message (Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/nameofthewebsite/public_html/wp-includes/pomo/translations.php on line 325). Because my knowledge/experience on WordPress/programming is limited, I decided to submit a ticket on Envato Studio to install the theme for me. They did that properly, but there’s one issue left. The website gives an error message:

“LayerSlider encoutered a problem while it tried to show your Slider. Please make sure that you’ve used the right method to insert the slider, and check if the corresponding slider exists and was’nt deleted previously”.

Envato Studio asks me: “I don’t see the layerslider templates in theme zip file. Can you ask Enfold for the layerslider templates, and also ask how to install/activate it? I tried your purchased code for activation, but it is not working.”

I don’t understand what’s going on. Is it necessary to download additional files for the layersliders? And if yes – how to install/activate them?

    Thank you all in advance!

    Hey lijn2,
The reason the layerslider slides didn’t install was because your webhost doesn’t have the PHP ZipArchive Extension activated, so the site can’t extract zip archives.
I enabled the PHP ZipArchive Extension and uploaded the layerslider 2017 Demo slider that would have installed for you.
It is now working, please check.
However, I recommend taking a look at WordPress > Dashboard > LayerSlider > Options and click “System Status” and look under “Server Settings”
and ask your webhost to help correct the items in red for best results and match these settings:
    PHP Version: 7.0.x
    PHP Time Limit: No limit
    PHP Memory Limit: 256M
    PHP Post Max Size: 50M
    PHP Max Upload Size: 20M

    Best regards,

Thank you very much, Mike. Indeed it is now working. I’ll ask the web host to modify the server settings. I’m happy with your quick, good en complete support/response.
