On regular pages how can I add an image to a text block and right align it? When using the ALB my regular “Add Media” button won’t work. And if I use the ALB to add an image it cannot be added to a text block.
I did look through documentation and forum but did not find anything.
On Blog posts again the “Add Media” button will not work so I have to use an Enfold shortcode which gives me no visual preview. On the Blog if the ALB is disabled by default can’t we then at least use the default WordPress “Add Media” button? The them kind of cripples the Blog area.
June 8, 2014 at 1:30 pm #276182Hi raveon!
Thank you for using the theme!
The Add Media button should be working. Please post the website url here, we would like to check it. Make sure that you’re running Enfold 2.8.1 with WordPress 3.9 or higher. You can right align an image by adding the alignright class or selector attribute. Another thing that you can do is to add column layout, for example, add 3 1/3 column layout. Add the image element on the last or 3rd 1/3 column to position the image or align it to the right.

IsmaelJune 8, 2014 at 6:16 pm #276257Thank you Ismael, theme is very nice. That makes more sense, it seemed very unusual that the Add Media would be completely disabled. I am using latest version of WP and Enfold.
When I say the button is disabled I mean it is there and appears to function correctly just that no image is ever actually inserted.
I have been using the column classes to achieve what I need for now and in a way it’s actually a better way to go from a design perspective than using the “align” feature. But still may need that eventually.
I will leave URL in another post.

You can switch to Default Editor and click on Magic Wand to see full list of shortcodes http://i.imgur.com/n4KXkdm.jpg
then you can create any of them and copy/paste shortcode into any other content element or into text widget.Regards,
YigitJune 9, 2014 at 2:11 am #276320Yes I know that but as I said in the original entry that is a poor substitute, really makes Blog posts pretty primitive.
So I guess this is just the way the theme is? Cripples the regular editor and provides shortcodes only with limited functionality?
Especially bad for Blog posts. Shortcodes are not going to be used by clients either who need some kind of visual reference.
Surely Kriesi must have plans to fix this? The other replies led me to believe that it was a bug in my installation.
This is a beautiful piece of work by Kriesi but not quite ready for prime time. We were going to use this theme as a standard in our design group along with Sudiopress/Genesis but this will be a nightmare trying to show clients how to right embed an image in their latest Blog post.
June 9, 2014 at 2:18 am #276321Hey!
Maybe i do not understand the issue clearly. I am having no problems right or left aligning inserted images in posts – http://i.imgur.com/UqwF6HM.png & http://i.imgur.com/TXcUkWL.png
Cheers!
YigitJune 9, 2014 at 2:41 am #276323Yigit, as I said in my original post.
I can use the Default Editor as anybody would BUT when I press “Insert Image” it inserts nothing.
So it seems to work correctly but no image is ever inserted.
I have tried disabling all plugins and same issue.
I can make a short video if you like.June 9, 2014 at 2:43 am #276324Hey!
Sorry, issue was not so clear. Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can take a look?
Cheers!
YigitJune 9, 2014 at 2:47 am #276325Never mind. I went to make a video of the issue and now it’s working!
I did change some setting in Enfold and maybe they made a difference. I have no idea.
Thanks for your time and sorry for this. If I see the problem again I will be back.
I could not insert an image at all using the Default Editor for several hours but now I can.
I did start and stop Chrome, maybe that had something to do with it.
Thanks again
