Hi Guys
A website that has been working fine now seems to be having problems re the page layout whenever we try and edit a page or an image on the page.
The site inner pages has a 2/3 and 1/3 column layout across the page. However, when trying to edit an image in the 1/3 right hand column, or adding new elements etc, when the page is updated the layout is all messed up and the right hand 1/3 column disappears.
Please see private for details.
We have some urgent updates to perform so would really appreciate your advice.
Cheers
Steve
May 18, 2015 at 12:49 pm #445587Hey steve159159!
I just added a textblock to the first 1/3 and everything behaves as expected, could you try to clear your browser cache to see if that helps?
Best regards,
RikardMay 18, 2015 at 1:33 pm #445615Hi Rikard
Thanks very much for looking at this for me.
I cleared my browser cache as suggested but when trying to change the pink Special Offers button for a new smaller version in the image library, the same result happens. Have a look at http://dittiscombe.co.uk/whats-on/ to see what I mean.
I tried reverting back to a previous instance of the page, which was fine and I then tried editing again on two different machines, two browsers on each, none of which had accessed this site before and the same thing happens.
I’m really stuck!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Steve

I got the same error as you are describing, there obviously is something breaking the layout but I cannot figure out what it is. I created a copy of the problem page called What’s On testing for testing but I had no luck with that either. I will ask the rest of the team to have a look as well.

I really appreciate your help. We need to make some fairly urgent changes for the client and this problem is a real headache.
I look forward to hearing from you.

May 19, 2015 at 4:07 pm #446498Hi!
When I tried to edit the image and update the page it removed the image element and the other textblock and messed up the layout like you said. I then deleted the messed up elements and saved the page and it’s letting me edit the image now. I’m not sure what was in the textblock before but I’m guessing you had some typos in there that was messing up the page.
Try recreating your content again and if it’s still messing up then let us know and paste the content your using inside the textblock so we can check to see if it’s correct.
Best regards,
