Hi,
I’m trying to understand what happens when you change the link to a post that is already published.
It looks like the “old” post URL is still available after the “new” one.
Example:
Old URL: https://example.com/some-random-post/
New URL: https://example.com/some-other-post/
Now there is an extra page at https://example.com/some-other-post/some-random-post/
How can I disable this behavior? I don’t like “double pages”.
Thank you!
Hey joharbi,
That should not happen. We would need to see that actually happening to be able to help you out though.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi, Rikard
Take a look at the links I’ve provided in the private content.
Thanks for your help!
Hi,
Thanks for that, are you sure that you don’t have two actual posts with the same permalink? Please try checking that and delete the one you are not using, also remove it from the trash. If you can’t get it working then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
Rikard
There are no identical posts…
I’ve attached login credentials below.
Hi,
Thanks for that, the post in private is a media attachment, and it has the same permalink as your post. That is why that is happening.
Best regards,
Rikard
Aha…
Didn’t know there was a separate “attachment page”.
Thanks a lot for your help, Rikard.
Great customer service!
I’m really happy with your theme by the way!
Best regards,
Joakim
