Since updating Enfold Theme to 5.6.10
it is now impossible to add an image from the library to a post/page from the classic editor only.Importing an image from the avia builder is OK.
Disabling extensions changes nothing.
Tested with Google Chrome and SafariVideo capture below
https://recordit.co/qeoTiXuZT8Do you have any idea what the problem is?
March 11, 2024 at 5:09 pm #1436979Hey montagnettes,
Thanks for the login details. I can’t reproduce the problem on your site on a test installation, and we’ve had no other reports of this being a problem for other users either. Are we allowed to tempoarily deactivate plugins on your site?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 12, 2024 at 8:55 am #1437021Hello Rikard,
Yes, I allow you to deactivate plugins.
Also, you should know that I’ve tested with PHP versions 7.4, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 but nothing changes.
I’ve also tested with another template and the result is OK. I really think the problem is with the enfold template.I look forward to hearing from you.
March 13, 2024 at 5:00 pm #1437147Hi,
We’re not sure what is causing this problem on your installation unfortunately, but it’s working as expected when the Block editor is active. If you want to use that for now, then please activate it at the bottom of the main page of the theme options.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 14, 2024 at 1:57 pm #1437225Hello Rikard,
Thank you for your feedback and investigation…
The problem is also visible when using the editor block and adding an image to a text block. It’s impossible…See below: https://recordit.co/BOw96wDJaC
I thank you in advance for your help, and hope to find a solution.
As a reminder, the problem appeared during the last ENFOLD update.Until I find a solution, I’m working around it on my own.
Have a nice day!
March 14, 2024 at 5:54 pm #1437246Hi,
Thanks for the update. Like I mentioned earlier; we haven’t been able to reproduce the problem on any of our test sites, and we’ve had no reports from other users having the same problem either, so it’s likely that the problem is local to your site. Did you try updating to latest version of the theme which was released earlier today? You could also try to completely delete the theme and upload a fresh copy. Make sure that you keep backup of your site before attempting that though.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 15, 2024 at 5:46 am #1437257The assumption is that it could be due to a plugin. Could it be the VFB Pro plugin that is not interacting properly?
To find out, I would first deactivate all plugins, then regenerate all caching (browser caching as well as Enfold Merging). Check whether this is still the case with the images. If the problem is no longer present, reactivate one plugin after the other and check when the error occurs again.PS: on trying to insert a media file to your text editor – are there any errors in the console that you can post here.
Just open the dev Tools of your browser – and open the console log. See if there are errors when trying to insert a media file.March 15, 2024 at 9:06 am #1437272Hi @Rikard, @Guenni007,
Thanks for your feedback.
The Enfold 5.6.11 update did not fix the problem.
BUT your next solution fixed the problem: completely delete the theme and upload a fresh copy.
I’ve finally found a solution, I’ve been looking for ages…
Thank you once again for your help.
