Hello! I have successfully installed the latest version of wordpress and theme enfold.
But I have a problem when installed dummy data, in this case “Enfold Flat Business Demo”.
The site run but do not see a lot of pictures.

I do not see even the appearance of the upload folder in the folder wp-content.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot,

    Fabrizio

    Thanks for the reply Rikard.
Unfortunately I have not an environment accessible from the outside, I’m developing locally.

You can replicate the anomaly from scratch by installing version 3.2 of the theme Enfold (in my case on wordpress 4.2.2) and try to import the demo content (in my case I imported Small Business – Flat Demo but seems to occur with all content ).
You’ll find that the basic settings such as css and colors are actually loaded but no picture. Occurring in the site root folder is missing actually upload with various pictures.

The problem, however, seems to be more serious than expected. In fact not only missing images, missing all references in the db to import images.

I solved because fortunately I had a version of the theme Enfold previous (3.5.1) which instead allowed me to import content normally demo. Pursued I went to replace files manually Enfold to update to version 3.2.

It ‘was really long to understand everything but this way I managed to solve.

Give me feedback and warn me how to solve for future installations?

    Thanks a lot,

    Fabrizio.

    Hi Fabrizio,

Thanks for the info but I can’t reproduce the error on my local installation running WP 4.2.2 and Enfold 3.2.3, I just imported the demo and everything, including images, gets imported as expected. I’m not sure I understood what version you are running when getting this problem but if it’s 3.2.3 there’s probably something going wrong on your local environment, maybe write permission to the wp-content folder for example?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hello!
I have to bring this up almost a year later again. I tried it with a clean install of WP and the latest Enfold and wanted to import the Consulting dummy data.
Manuall importing the consulting.xml file gave me the following:

    Failed to import Media “bbpress”
    Failed to import Media “enfold”
    Failed to import Media “envato”
    Failed to import Media “gravity”
    Failed to import Media “kriesi”
    Failed to import Media “themeforest”
    Failed to import Media “marker3”
    Failed to import Media “logo-consult”
Failed to import Media “Business handshake”
    Failed to import Media “consultant-m-reverse”
    Failed to import Media “corporate-buildings-white”
    Failed to import Media “Finance”
Failed to import Media “Financial application form”
Failed to import Media “Man working with modern devices”
Failed to import “General”: Invalid post type forum
Failed to import “Hello World!”: Invalid post type topic
Failed to import “Re: Hello World!”: Invalid post type reply

Any ideas? My server provider is world4you.com – based in Austria. However I used to have no problem with importing dummy data in December 2015.

    Hi,

Did you check the write permissions to the upload folder?

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Thank you for your reply,

I guess I am allowed to. Because in the same message it says something like “avia … x” “avia … y” do already exist.

    Hi,

Ok, please try to delete everything which was imported in posts/pages/media and try again. You are getting that error message because some data was imported already.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
