Tagged: widget header
I’ve been trying to add a button to my header. I’ve seen posts that say you add a widget and then a button shortcode.
I searched the following http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-a-widget-area-to-the-header/
I downloaded the functions.php file from the wp-includes file, added the text and then uploaded it.
At which point the Word Press editor no longer load and i face a blank screen.
Normal service resumes if i re-upload the ammended file.
Any ideas?
Hi Catalaioch!
You must have some sort of error in the code if that happens, could you paste the code you are using to http://pastebin.com/ and then link it here?
Cheers!
Rikard
Thanks Rikard,
I took the code directly from the support website. I pasted it on the end of the file without anything extra.

Hi!
Edit wp-includes/functions.php file via FTP and remove the code you added. Code shared on our documentation should be added to Functions.php file of the theme. You can edit the file in Appearance > Editor from WordPress dashboard or wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php via FTP
Cheers!
