Hi,
I have different private blog posts and, I want to make these posts visible in the classic grind post blog style to subscribers.
I’m using the ‘Members’ plug-ins to allow subscribers to view private content (read private pages and private post enable). It works with no problem on the classic blog layout/view but not in the case of the classic grid or masonry.Any advice to allow making it visible to subscribers in this case, there is a filter anyway lock the view/load article in the classic grind view ?
Thanks for any help or in case links to other topics.
CS

Thank you for the inquiry.
but not in the case of the classic grid or masonry.
Which element are you actually using? Please provide a link to the page containing the posts element so that we can check it. A link to the “classic blog layout/view” will help as well. How did you make it work in the blog overview page?
Best regards,

February 8, 2022 at 1:04 pm #1339596Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The Articoli or Blog Posts element is not displaying at all in the front end. This is for both the admin and subscriber account. And it looks like the theme has been heavily modified, even the icons of the builder elements have been changed. What else did you modify in the parent theme?
Please try to update the theme to version 4.8.9.1 and make sure that the blog is NOT disabled in the Enfold > Performance > Disable Features section.
Best regards,

February 9, 2022 at 9:26 am #1339738Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
I use Articoli again but with the grid display, and I don’t see anything, but If you change the view in ‘Single author with small image preview’ all article are visible for the Subscriber.
Yes, we can see that issue but we are not yet sure what is causing it. The whole blog posts element or post slider is not rendering at all when the layout style is set to grid.
Do you have a stock copy of the Enfold theme without the modifications? Is is working correctly when that theme is activated? Please make sure to create a backup or a restore point before activating the stock theme because it might change some database entries. Or better yet, try to clone the site to a subdomain and test it there.
Please post the FTP details in the private field so that we can edit some of the files when necessary. We may need to debug the postslider.php file in the config-templatebuilder > aviashortcodes folder.

February 11, 2022 at 8:49 am #1340087Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We were not able to access the site via FTP but we have found out that the post slider or blog posts element is set to not display private posts by default. We had to use this filter in the functions.php file to adjust the default query and display the private posts.
add_filter("avia_post_slide_query", function($query) { $query['post_status'] = array( 'publish', 'private'); return $query; }, 10);
The posts are now displaying in the grid.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 11, 2022 at 4:05 pm #1340174Hi Ismael, many thanks for your help. Sorry that the ftp didn’t work… tested by my looks that is OK. Anyway…
Question: is this a function that will be added in the future Enfold update or is a single feature that I have to insert in the child theme for future updates?Best regards
CSFebruary 14, 2022 at 4:22 pm #1340525Hi,
We tested the blog posts element on our own installation and all private posts display immediately even without the filter above, so there must be something in the members’ plugin that is preventing the posts to display on your site. Please keep the filter in the functions.php file for now.
Best regards,
