Hi
I just updated to the latest theme version this morning. I see the cookie bar at the bottom of my page but don’t get the button and links….See here on my STAGING server where I’m testing there first: http://crescendo.staging.wpengine.com/en/ (hosted on WPengine)
This needs to work before the 25th…..
Thanks
LyseMay 24, 2018 at 7:22 pm #961804I’m not a moderator, but I ended up installing a great plugin called “GDPR Cookie Consent” that is very sleek and works well. Just wanted to share as I know how stressful these GDPR requirements are and the deadline is looming. I like the look of this one better than the one included with Enfold. I myself am having a problem with my blog not showing the checkbox that should read: “Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.” Enfold said, “that with the latest update, which I’ve installed, that there is an option to add a checkbox to all comment forms that asks for approval of your privacy policy before sending the form.” Just not seeing it and also waiting on answers. Hope this helps you.
May 24, 2018 at 7:34 pm #961812Hi Artoffate,
I had been using that plugin before updating to the Enfold theme’s. I have not yet removed it from my live site, but on the staging for now. I may update to it latest version on the production side and see where that takes me with compliance.
Thank you for sharing…
LyseMay 24, 2018 at 7:44 pm #961816Does the Enfold version disable/enable the actual cookies? It doesn’t appear to do anything when the buttons are switched.
This is the same for a lot of the other GDPR plugins. A lot of them have all the options but YOU have to program them to disable the cookies. The Enfold solution seems to be the same.
Also, for the cookies to be disabled/enabled after the the user selects what they want, wouldn’t the page have to reload to active/deactivate the cookies? Enfold does nothing when the dialog box is closed.
May 27, 2018 at 3:58 pm #962788Hi,
@tremblayly sorry for the late reply,
I looked at your staging site and I see you are missing the buttons in the code. Here is a comparison:
I’m thinking there is a conflict somewhere, did you try disabling your plugins?
We will need to be able to login to investigate.
@corefocusgroup please read this postBest regards,
MikeMay 28, 2018 at 1:05 am #962913Hi Mike,
I have another cookie law plugin, but I deleted it think it was the culprit. However, if you look at another ticket https://kriesi.at/support/topic/help-login-register-form-and-new-privacy-settings-preventing-user-access/#post-962479 the buttons don’t show for two of my other websites. So I suspect the new version of Enfold where we can append a privacy policy message to login/registration or comment pages does not work. This may be the case for this website as well..
Thanks
LyseMay 29, 2018 at 7:38 pm #963895Hi,
I am afraid you’ll need to contact the plugin author for more info about the issue. Making third-party plugins compatible with the theme is unfortunately beyond the support scope we offer. Sorry for that!
Best regards,
BasilisMay 29, 2018 at 7:48 pm #963907Hi Basilis,
I deleted the plugin. The issue exists on two other websites where I never had the Cookie Law plugin ever installed.
Thanks
