    Hi,

    I enabled the Privacy and Cookies setting in the Enfold theme. But I remarked, that before the user can accept or decline cookies, the Google Anaylytics Cookies _ga _gat _gid are already installed (of course, I deleted all Cookies before testing). So the choice for the user to agree or decline cookies makes no sense this way. My question: Do you know whether there is a way to postpone the installation of the Google Analytict cookies somehow until the user makes his decision? Our site: diesing-markenkommunikation.at

    Thanks in advance
    Ulrich

    Hey Dabongu,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    The analytics scripts will still be added to the site but it won’t proceed unless the user accepted the cookies, or unless the ga-disable property is not set.

    // https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/user-opt-out

    Where can we see the issue? Please provide a link to the site.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

    thanks for your response and for the link, but I think it is more for experts who know exactly how the site works. I don’t have any idea where and when to place the script depending on the user’s choice. And more important, if a user does not accept cookies, he does not want to have cookies on his computer at all, regardingless of the fact the cookie does not send anything. In a perfect world declining cookies means: no third party cookies on my computer!
    I already provided you with a link to the site (last line in my post): https://www.diesing-markenkommunikation.at
