I tried to look for this topic in existing posts, but was not able to find anything. I just started building my site a couple of weeks ago and I imported dummy pages. It looks like some of those pages are indexing in Google search engine. I have now marked them as “private” and want to know if there is any way to make sure that private pages do not get indexed. Any help or code would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hey uattah!
Google will have the same access to private pages as normal visitors, if the content isn’t on the page for a visitor then it won’t be for Google either. Private pages can’t be crawled by Google. :)
Cheers!

I just did a google search of my company name and test blog posts are present as well as demo pages. It looks like the pages were crawled even though they are private. Any recommendations on how to have these removed?
Thanks!
