    Having a hard time finding how/where to customize the icons [and icon backgrounds] in Post Slider.
    Can you please point me in the right direction?

    What customisation you need to do exactly?
    Change the background color or what, sorry not clear from your description :)

    I have not fully decided – but let’s start withmaking the background of the icon/thumbnail transparent

    1. making the background of the icon transparent and
    2. using, uploading, or picking a different (custom) icon for each post

    VERY sorry – site in development, so the elements in question are on a password-protected page. See private content…
    Parenthetically – I’d like to know how to style everything about the post slider that is possible to style! I am not CSS-shy ;-)

    Thanks for that. Please try this CSS to have a transparent background:

    .avia-content-slider .slide-image {
  background: transparent;
}

    What else in specific do you want to change?

    Thank you! That worked but only after placing !important into it. Must be something upstream that conflicted.
