How do the post formats work? For instance on a video post I do not see where you put a video link. On other themes I have used when you select a video post format a section appears to put in the link and it will put the video at the top of the post? I am not seeing that with Enfold.
Also is there detailed documentation for Enfold? I have seen the documentation that came with the theme but it is more of an overview.
-Thanks
November 15, 2014 at 8:13 pm #351889Hi mtmfx!
You can insert our video shortcode into the post and it will automatically be picked up in the blog layout when using the video format.
See here for our documentation, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/.
Cheers!

November 16, 2014 at 2:41 am #351947Hi,
Thanks for the reply and that did work but I do not see anything about this in your documentation. Is there a more detailed doc that explains things like this? I would never have guessed it took a shortcode. Usually it is in a post meta section in the actual post.
I purchased Enfold a year ago and I have been sidetracked with projects and was not able to get in to it. But I do remember a detailed doc that came with it. This is a nice theme and I want to be able to use it to its full extent. BTW I searched the forum for this topic and came up cold.
-Thanks
November 16, 2014 at 9:40 pm #352170Hey!
Try putting the video URL in the first line of the Post, from the Enfold documentation (included in theme zip):
Using Post Formats
Post Formats is a theme feature introduced with Version 3.1.A Post Format is a piece of meta information that can be used by a theme to customize its presentation of a post. The theme supports 4 different formats. The standard format is for deault blog entries. The link format is for linked entries to external sites. If you select the link format make sure that your post has a title and that the first line in the content textarea is a link.
If you select Quote the post title will be transformed to a bold quote. The gallery post type doesn’t really differ from the standard post type but if you add a gallery anywere to the entry it will be displayed at the top of the entry. If you choose Video and add the video url anywhere to the post it will also be extracted and be displayed at the top of the page.

November 16, 2014 at 11:16 pm #352193Hi,
Just to be clear, The documentation that is in the 3.0.2 zip does not have the “using post formats” section that you are referring to. It has a new doc that is brief and has no references to setting up the theme or post formats. That is why I have been asking in the last three posts for the original theme doc that I have seen before. You should check it for yourself. Here is a screenshot of the new documentation in the 3.0.2 zip file.
I found an older version of Enfold 2.7.2 on my hard drive and it has the documentation that I have been asking for see 2.7.2 doc.
The new doc is good but someone new to Enfold would want to see the theme walkthrough like in the 2.7.2 doc.
-Thanks
