IsmaelThanks – I tried that but it doesn’t work. Still getting the whole post. I also am having a problem with the links for the NEWS page – the language switcher is defaulting to the landing pages instead of the translated NEWS / NYHEDER pages – not sure what that’s about. Is there a different setting because it’s a blog post?

The read more links seem to work for me. By default you can use the more quicktag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ to generate the excerpt or you can use this code: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/setting-blog-to-multi-author-big-preview-blog-with-title-excerpt-read-more/ if you want to use the “excerpt field” for a custom excerpt text.

Yes thanks, someone else helped me fix that excerpt problem. I wonder if you could look at the other issues I have in my open topics – my site admin side has been running very very slow for the past 2 days. I have added memory to my wp-config.php file but that didn’t help.
Is there any way to test what’s going on?
