Post comment box not appearing on threads

Hello, I have read as many posts as I can find and checked all my settings, but I cant figure out why my comments box wont appear. I have installed the disqus plugin and another that enables comments via Facebook login. Neither will work and the native WP comments wont work either. I may have made code adjustments many years ago to hide comments, but I looked there and don’t see changes or don’t know where to look. I would like to enable comments for select posts. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link to your page, it looks like you made this “post” with the Advanced Layout Builder, so the comments will not automatically show, please use the comment element for these:

That worked, thanks Mike! Such an obvious thing. I did try that, but was not being too patient clearing my cache and giving it a chance to work. I was looking for something much more complicated. Doh! Thanks again.
