I noticed that a page with a text block containing some Avia editor code like that below produced the blank text block error. When I removed it, I was again able to edit.
<div class="main_color container_wrap_first container_wrap fullsize"> <div class="container"> <div class="post-entry post-entry-type-page post-entry-1022"> <div class="entry-content-wrapper clearfix"><section class="av_textblock_section"> <div class="avia_textblock ">
March 22, 2017 at 7:33 pm #765009Dammitall! I love your theme but this inability to keep the editor working is costing me a lot of money every time you or wordpress update! Now it’s not working again, and there are DOZENS of posts of people having the same “Failed to load resource: admin-ajax.php” error – any chance that you can figure out what the heck is going wrong and post a fix?

Can you give a link to your website, so that we can take look at the issue you’re experiencing?

March 24, 2017 at 7:41 am #765967Hi,
There is no general fix for this unfortunately, maybe this will help though? https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-fix-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress

RikardMarch 24, 2017 at 3:57 pm #766255Thanks but that’s not going to help. You guys need to figure this admin-ajax stuff out in future releases – been a big problem with the last few upgrades.
March 24, 2017 at 4:01 pm #766257And did you change anything? Now I can’t save pages or blocks as templates.
March 26, 2017 at 6:02 am #766815Hi,
Why is that not going to help? This is down to server configurations, if the theme is not allowed to access a file that is needed to load the builder then it’s pretty much out of our hands.
I did not change anything on your installation.

RikardApril 5, 2017 at 3:27 am #772142Didn’t see your reply. It didn’t help because I had already read through and tried everything suggested there.
I really don’t understand how you have as many admin-ajax.php errors as you have without taking some responsibility and working on a fix. My assumption is that you are doing something non-standard in your call to the file because this is the only WordPress theme or plugin I have ever used that runs into problems with the call to admin-ajax.php at all, let alone frequently.
I love Enfold, but I don’t love this.
April 6, 2017 at 7:18 am #772981Hi,
We do take responsibility, but this is not something we have control over. The 403 response is coming from the server, not the theme. The server is blocking access to it, and it’s needed for the builder to work. The link I posted is from the makers of Divi, which is also a popular Builder/theme, so it’s not too far fetched to assume that a lot of their users have had the same issue. We are doing something non-standard, yes. All theme builders do in fact, since a layout builder is not standard WordPress functionality.
Best regards,
Rikard -
