Hi
I am creating a holiday rental website and am currently working with portfolio categories.
There are 20 different towns and a holiday rental will be listed under Town category (name of town)
the sub-categories for each town are
– 3 bedrooms
– free wifi
– pets welcome
– luxury rental
– conservatoryI’ve created a few Town parent categories and inserted the sub-categories under each town
but
when I create a portfolio page and insert a portfolio grid and then I go to “Which categories should be used for the portfolio?”
I see that sub-categories are not listed under each Towncan you suggest a way for me to achieve this – sub-categories listed under Parent category in Portfolio Grid edit screen

Unfortunately that’s currently a limitation with how the element fetches the taxonomies, all categories will display on the same level regardless of hierarchy.
I see this causes a trouble in your particular set-up, one workaround would be to show the subcategories slugs instead of the labels so you can note the difference, here’s how to do that:
