Hi there!
I’m working on a new Enfold-based WP site for a client. Unfortunately, I’m running into some problems implementing the portfolio.

If you click on the pagination links below the portfolio grid, you’ll be presented with a 404-page. No idea what could cause this. I did change the portfolio permalink-base from portfolio-item to producten-in-de-pers.Problem 2: not all filters visible
I have implemented over 30 portfolio-categories, but only a couple of them show up above the portfolio-grid and the styling seems to be a bit off as well.It would be great if you could look into this!
Thanks,

I solved problem 1 by changing portfolio permalinks.
Still struggling with the portfolio filters though…
March 7, 2016 at 3:07 pm #594341Hey!
The portfolio filters won’t show if the portfolio catogery is empty. but you have added a minimum of 1 item in each of 38 portfolio catogery and all of them are visible here
Looks like you got it sorted please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for getting back to me about this issue!
Even though it seems to be sorted at the moment, it actually isn’t. ;) What I did to solve the problem, was displaying all 300+ portfolio-items in 1 page and not use any pagination. Even though this solved the problem, performance-wise it’s not a smart choice. I installed a lazy-load plugin to help speed up the page-load.
Leaves me with two questions:
1. Is it possible to use all filters combined with pagination? So: all filters will be visible on every page, regardless of the items displayed.2. If that’s not possible I’ll have to stick to the lazy-load option. Unfortunately, when using lazy load, I experience some differences in image sizes and margins.

March 10, 2016 at 7:41 am #596103Hi!
1.) It’s possible to display all categories but it’s still pointless if none of the items that belong to those categories are present on the page. Clicking on empty categories will render the page blank. It cannot fetch entries from another page.
2.) Looks like you’re using images with different sizes. Edit the portfolio element then set the “Portfolio Grid Image Size” to manual. Select the thumbnail size. In most cases this will work, if not, just make sure that all featured images have the same size and aspect ratio.

Thanks!
Sorry to bother you again, but is it possible to ADD a custom image size? My client would like to generate portrait thumbnails and all standard image sizes are either square or landscape.

Yes, it is possible but there are various sizes in the “Select custom image size” option. Do you want to add another custom size? If yes, try to adjust the size settings of the existing thumbnails. Install the following plugin then go to the Settings > Media panel. Adjust the size of a specific thumbnail and enable the “Crop” parameter in order to make sure that it crops the image to the exact dimension. Update. Save. Regenerate the thumbnails. https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
