Portfolio Item Order

For some reason I can’t change the order that my portfolio items load into the portfolio grid. I’ve tried changing the date published and can’t get them to change order. Any help is appreciated! I would ideally like to have them sort most recent first rather than last (ascending vs descending???). Thank you!
