Hey there,
we constantly have issues with the Portfolio base. We have a wordpress permalink structure set up to:
/blog/%postname%/as we need our blog posts to have different URL then all other pages. That works like a charm for all post types. The only post type that does not play along is portfolio.
The portfolio item base is set to: we-do
As mentioned, other permalinks use the site root. Portfolio is unable to handle this and will use the blog structure no matter what. So all will go to:
/blog/we-do/This is not optimal. If customers would want that they could always go ahead and add it to the permalink of the portfolio item base. The other way around there is no way to change it to use the site root.
Please consider this. Appreciated!

So to summarize it, before update the permalinks works fine and portfolio doesn’t have any issue but after update it doesn’t work properly anymore? Can you tell us what version you are using before the update, and is the update 3.8?
Best regards,

exactly. Before, if I remember correctly, we also had to use a permalink manager to correct the way that enfold is positioning the portfolio section. Now it does not seem to be correctable. The update was 3.8.

That’s weird, I tested on my end but I didn’t have any issues updating it. Can you try to create a stage site and put a duplicate of your site there and update it, so we can test it and hopefully figure out why it’s happening on your site and fix it.
Best regards,
