Hello, I hope everything is going well for you,

I have currently created some portfolio items that have images that are not all identical, they are logos of chess clubs. Of course I could rearrange them one by one to make them the same size but since there are about 50 of them it is not really a fun job! In the current situation the visualization with these different sizes is not optimal:
    – if I choose the grid that homogenizes the dimensions, the logos are cut and are difficult to read,
    – if I choose the grid that keeps them unchanged, the result is this
    https://www.federscacchilazio.com/circoli/ really not optimal.
I have the same problem also in this page https://www.federscacchilazio.com/scuole/
Is it possible to avoid cutting the logos while still obtaining a visualization in which each logo occupies the same space in the grid?

Thanks as usual for your precious support

    Hey cuccarini,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Unfortunately, your only option in this case is to make sure to upload images that have the same size and aspect ratio. As you observed, if you choose to select a specific thumbnail, some of the images will get cropped and may not display in full. You can also try the Masonry element but it may not work as you expect.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hello Ismael,
I imagined that this was the answer, but I was hoping that maybe there was some other non-standard alternative that could solve the problem.
You can close the ticket obviously.

Thanks as usual for your precious support

    Hi,

Unfortunately, WordPress crops the images based on the theme’s or plugin’s predefined settings, and there’s no way to set specific cropping parameters for each image individually through WordPress.

To achieve a consistent grid where each logo occupies the same space without being cut off, the only reliable solution is to upload images that have the same size or aspect ratio. This will ensure that all logos are displayed uniformly without cropping issues.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
