    Hi there,

    I would like to add a custom link to my portfolio pages in the grid on my homepage but when I do that, the font colour in the grid changes to white on white background. How can I make the font colour black when I’m using custom URLs.

    Hey dhandakam!

    Seems like you figured it out by using following code? 

    .grid-entry-title a {
    color: black !important;
}

    Hey Yigit,

    No actually it’s still the same. Right now the font is black but when I add a custom link to the portfolio items under ‘Overwrite Portfolio Link setting’ in ‘Edit Portfolio Entry’, the font in the grid is white. Right now it’s set to ‘Define custom link’ but then the ‘Link portfolio item to external URL’ is empty. However, when I put a link in that box, the portfolio item name in the portfolio grid on the homepage is white.

    I hope we can fix this :)

    Hi Yigit,

    Yes, right now it’s fine but when I click on an image it doesn’t link to a page. When I add a custom link to which I want to porfolio item to link to, the font changes to white.
    Right now it’s black because I left the ‘custom url’ field blank because I don’t want the titles not to show up until this is fixed.

    Hi,

    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    The site is using an old version of the theme, 3.5.4. Please update the theme to the latest version, 3.7.1.

    Hi there,

    I updated the theme but the issue is still there.

    When I define a custom link in “Overwrite Portfolio Link setting” the font in for this item in the grid turn from black to white, which is invisible on white background. Also, it doesn’t actually link to the page I added the link for. The porfolio item still opens in a lightbox.

    Hi,

    Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.

    Ask your host if they are using any caching on your site and tell them to deactivate it. Clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.
