    I’ve unloaded categories like logos, print, web. The problem is that that are not shuffled in order. They show in the order that I uploaded them making some of the most important categories and portfolio pieces all the way at the bottom. Is there a way to randomize the order? Also can I make a category like “Featured” be the default category rather than “All”?

    You can use a plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/ to manually sort the order of the portfolio categories. It’s not possible to use a default category – “All” is always the standard selected item.

    I try’ed the plugin you suggested and it was not helpful because the portfolio shows them in chronological order that they were posted, not by category. The issue is that I don’t want the chronological order I uploaded the portfolio items to be the final order displayed. Any other solutions? Thanks
