Hi
Is it possible to have the Portfolio category name in the URL?
I edited the Portfolio Items Base in Settings > Permalinks to be “item” but I want the URL structure to reflect the Portfolio category name, not just a general path. all my Portfolio categories have slugs but they do not appear in the url for some reason.
currently a portfolio item has this url: http://domain.com/item/apple/
How can I change it to be http://domain.com/fruit/apple/ or http://domain.com/veggies/tomato/
thank you
Hi Yory!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Try using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-permastructure/
Cheers!

Thanks.
this plugin was not updated since 2012-10-19
I don’t mind having the Portfolio Items Base in URL but why can’t I have the category slug show right after it?
The category slug name is not included at all in the URL – is that normal?
Hi!
That’s more of a WordPress limitation when it comes to custom post types.
Have you actually tried WP Permastructure? once activated you just need to set the Portfolio Items permalink structure to this:
/portfolio_entries/%portfolio_entries%/%postname%

Josue
Yes I installed it and it does add the portfolio category name to the URl
However – can I change the /portfolio_entries/ section of the Portfolio Items permalink structure, for example, instead of:
http://example.com/portfolio_entries/paintings/blue-painting/
have this url:
http://example.com/art/paintings/blue-painting/
Thank you
Hi!
Does it work if you change the portfolio Items permalink structure to this?
/art/%portfolio_entries%/%postname%
Cheers!
Josue
hello, I’ve used WP Permastructure, however it breaks Yoast SEO post-sitemap element and gives 500 error
Hi,
Please contact the plugin developers to help you with that.
Thank you
