    Hey pako69!

Please try to deactivate all third party plugins except WPML. Probably the translated categories will show up afterwards and you need to activate the plugins one by one to find the conflicting plugin. I know that i.e. the Mailchimpl plugin breaks the WPML query on the admin page.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hello dude
“Please try to deactivate all third party plugins except WPML.”
Sorry but it’s unthinkable, I have 12 live multinetwork sites and all the plugins are wide network actived!
I’m using the very last version of WPML
And there is something strange with you portfolios categories and WPML:

I just found that with Firefox i only see the English categories and with Chrome I see the french one…

    Hey!

Maybe the language cookie is missing. Try to clear the browser cache & cookies and then go to the editor page to translate it. Also see: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wpml-homepage-blog-post-not-working/#post-230549#

    Peter

Well done Dude, but don’t you think it’s WPML bug?
A cookie should never block a query within the WordPress admin…

    Thanks

    Hi!

Yes, tbh I’m not sure why WPML requires the cookie. Maybe they ignore the language query parameter if a cookie is set and then WPML queries the entries of the language set by the cookie and not the language/translation set by the url/php parameter…

    Regards,
    Peter

:( It”s very boring because sometimes it works and sometimes it lost the current language, only the clearing of cookies solve the issue.

    Hi!

Yes, unfortunately this seems to be a WPML limitation. I recommend to avoid “side by side” editing and to translate the entries one by one.

    Best regards,
    Peter

what do you mean by “I recommend to avoid “side by side” editing and to translate the entries one by one.”?

    #233181

    Hi!

I think Dude is referring to editing the files on both languages simultaneously. I think you should avoid that and edit or translate the entries one at a time.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

That’s what I do… However it’s not possible to edit the pages or post on both languages simultaneously because you have to switch on the page or post language you want to edit
